Alarms

An alarm warns you that the pump has detected something that is preventing insulin from being delivered. It is important that you respond to an alarm. When an alarm occurs, the pump displays a notification with a red icon and instructions, the red notification light blinks and, there is an audible beep or vibration, depending on your Audio Options settings.

Alarms require immediate action. The alarm will repeat until the problem is fixed. When an alarm is triggered, read the message on the screen and follow the instructions on how to fix the alarm. In most cases, you can clear the alarm by pressing Down and then making a selection. After following the instructions that appeared with the alarm to fix the alarm condition, check your settings. Check the time, date, basal and other settings to make sure they are still correct.

If you do not respond to an alarm, after ten minutes the alarm tone escalates to a loud emergency siren.
