A Temp Basal can be set in either Percent (delivers a percent of the current basal rate) or by Rate (delivers the amount that you enter).

To set a temp basal:

  1. From the Home screen, press Select.

  2. Select Basal

    Select Basal

  3. Select Temp Basal.

    Select Temp Basal

  4. Press Up to set duration and press Select.

    Set Duration

  5. Select Next.

  6. Select Type to choose Rate or Percent.

    Select Next

  7. Press Up or Down to enter the adjusted rate or percent of current basal rate desired. Press Select.

    Enter Desired Basal Rate

  8. Select Begin

The Home screen displays a Temp Basal banner to indicate that you have a Temp Basal active. When the Temp Basal is complete, the basal will automatically return to the regularly programmed basal rate.
