Warnings & precautions

What is the potential for infection, irritation, or inflammation?

Infection, irritation or inflammation from using i-Port Advance™ injection port is rare; however, the potential exists. Typically, these occurrences may result from inadequate cleansing of the skin surface before application, improper application to the body, and/or improper maintenance of the insertion site.

What should I do if the insertion site becomes infected, irritated, or inflamed?

If the application site becomes irritated or inflamed, remove and discard the device and apply a new device to a different location on the body at least 3 inches (76mm) from the original site. If infection, irritation or inflammation persists or worsens, discontinue use and contact your healthcare professional.

What should I do if the adhesive becomes loose or the cannula becomes dislodged?

Remove and discard the device and apply a new device to a different location on the body.
