Standard vs. Injection Port Introducing i-Port Advance

Introducing i-Port Advance®

"It takes the shots for you."

i-Port Advance is a discreet injection port that comes with an inserter. You can take multiple injections for three days without having to puncture your skin for each dose of medication. i-Port Advance is intended for use during normal daily activities, including showering, bathing and exercising.

Once applied, only the soft cannula remains under the skin, allowing for direct medication delivery from the injection into the subcutaneous tissue. This simple feature provides the user with a virtually painless* insertion when applying the soft cannula (a small, flexible tube) under the skin. The result is a comfortable, dependable application experience* to allow you to inject your diabetes medications.

Why Use i-Port Advance?

Do you ever skip an injection?

You’re not alone. According to a survey commissioned by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), 47% of people said they would be more likely to administer their injections regularly if a product was available to ease the pain and discomfort.1

An injection port helps directly address these findings by providing a tool to reduce the pain and anxiety associated with each skin puncture.

Check with your healthcare professional to see if i-Port Advance is right for you.

With an injection port you can:

  • Take insulin doses without the pain of additional skin punctures
  • Avoid skipping shots or altering your meals to avoid injections
  • Minimize physical and emotional injection barriers

How i-Port Advance Works

The i-Port Advance injection port is a prescription product that can be used by both adults and children who use a pen or syringe to inject physician-prescribed subcutaneous medications; including insulin.

Two injection port models are available: a 6mm or 9mm cannula length. Talk to your healthcare professional about which cannula length is right for you.

The device may remain in place for up to 72 hours to accommodate several insulin doses without the discomfort of additional needle sticks.
