President of Diabetes Service and Solutions, Medtronic Diabetes
As President of the Diabetes Service and Solutions business unit at Medtronic Diabetes, Annette Brüls leads the global business unit that manages consumables, data management, patient management, and financial services for the Diabetes Group.
Annette previously served as Vice President of Western Europe and Canada for Medtronic Diabetes and was responsible for creating and driving business growth plans in the region in alignment with Medtronic Global plans, where she exceeded plan for two consecutive years and drove double-digit top and bottom-line growth despite the economic downturn.
Annette previously served as Vice President of Marketing for the Cardiac Rhythm Device Management Division at Medtronic. During her extensive career in the medical device industry, Annette has worked in a number of positions at the European level, including clinical studies, sales, marketing and business leadership in the cardiology sector at Guidant and Abbott Vascular. Before joining Medtronic in 2007, she served as Vice President, Marketing, EMEA at Abbott Vascular.
Annette earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with honors from the University of Liege. She has also completed several executive marketing and management programs at INSEAD (Paris), IMD (Lausanne) and Wharton. She won Medtronic’s President’s Club Award in 2012.
Annette is Belgian and is fluent in German, English, French and Dutch.
