Pump Tip: Daylight Savings Spring 2017
Pump: MiniMed® Paradigm Models, MiniMed® Revel, MiniMed® 530G system, MiniMed®630G system
It’s time to ‘spring forward” into springtime and warmer temperatures! Make sure you’re ready too by marking your calendar for March 12th, 2017, as Daylight Savings time ends at 2am and you must ’spring forward’ your pump’s time.
The time on your insulin pump/continuous glucose monitor (CGM) determines your personal settings, including basal and bolus rates, so you’ll want to make sure it’s always up-to-date.
Here are steps to update the time and date on your insulin pump:
Talk to your doctor about whether to change the time on Saturday night or Sunday morning, depending on how sensitive you are to changes in basal rates.
