It’s that time of year again. It’s time to ‘fall back’ into an extra hour of sleep! (Yay for more sleep!) Mark your calendar this weekend because Daylight Savings time ends at 2am on Sunday, November 6th, 2016.
When adjusting your clocks, don’t forget to update the time on your diabetes devices. The time on your insulin pump/continuous glucose monitor (CGM) determines your personal settings, including basal and bolus rates, so you’ll want to make sure it’s always up-to-date.
Talk to your doctor about whether to change the time on Saturday night or Sunday morning, depending on how sensitive you are to changes in basal rates.
