As many of you know, we were thrilled to welcome Aron Medow, winner of our Facebook launch contest, to Los Angeles and Medtronic. Aron was kind enough to share with us the following very kind words about his visit. But I think we should be the ones thanking him – the team and I had a wonderful time with Aron, his beautiful wife Nellie and their adorable, high-energy little boys. Thank you Medow family – we’re so glad you had a nice time here in Los Angeles!
The trip was an amazing experience and my wife and boys couldn’t have had a better time. I was blown away throughout. Brian and Scott who lead the sensor manufacturing tour could easily have their own show! They were extremely fun and informative. Though I concede my head is still spinning a bit from their tour. They are both deeply knowledgeable in their areas and Brian’s passion and personal ties to the product pair nicely with Scott’s excitement and humor. They did a great job teaching and walking me through that incredible process. Their obvious interest and enthusiasm for this work and the quality of the products with their respective pieces and responsibilities was absolutely contagious and it was a real joy to accompany them throughout.
Carey Talbot kind of blew my doors off when discussing CGM products. The time with him was interesting and informative and gave me a ton to think about and a lot to be excited about with regard to the technologies on the horizon. We covered a lot of ground from display to function, and treatment to sensor workings. It was a terrific series of conversations and I even got a few new ideas to try to make my CGM a bit more friendly.
Then came the lunch with the executives. HOLY CROW! Not only did I have the attention of a sizeable group of decision makers but they were obviously living D-management with the goal of providing ground breaking solutions across the board and willing to take suggestions from the newly diagnosed to old dogs like me. I don’t know that I’ve had that much focused attention at any point in my life – it was an unbelievable treat and I learned a great deal both about the technologies and the people behind them. Your group could not have made a more wonderful impression.
My boys had a marvelous time playing in the Customer Experience Center and at Disney and at the Aquarium and on the plane and… everything – everywhere – period. My wife, Nellie, and I were both struck by how kind, caring and attentive everyone was. Given the extraordinary service and educational aides we’ve gotten from the local reps, I suppose we should have expected it starts at the top. You and your team made this wonderful trip an experience beyond words. Thank you again.
