Medtronic Diabetes is headquartered at our Northridge, CA campus, centrally located in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. The Diabetes Senior Leadership team is based at this location, which allows for cross-functional collaboration and teamwork. Additionally, our Northridge site houses our Research & Development labs, manufacturing facility and two training and education centers. Our Sales Training Center runs a robust orientation program for our new Field Sales employees while our Education Center is dedicated to providing opportunities for clinicians and healthcare providers to learn more about our innovative therapies. Our Diabetes Therapy Management and Education Center is located at the Overlook at the Rim, which is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certified and supports our mission to build a sustainable, environmentally responsible business. Environmentally friendly highlights include water-efficient landscaping, a "heat island effect" roof and a dedicated recycling center. The Diabetes Therapy Associate (DTA) is the "inside member" of an integrated sales team who works in partnership with field sales personnel to sell insulin pump therapy and coordinate benefits for patients with diabetes. The DTA spends a significant amount of time on the phone and fosters strong relationships with patients, health care providers, insurance companies and sales representatives. Responsibilities include working with field sales personnel to manage required documentation and guiding patients and physicians through the process of obtaining insulin pumps. 24-Hour Help Desk: Our 24-hour help desk provides customer service and technical support for customers experiencing an issue with or who have a question about their medical device or related Medtronic products. Due to the depth of specialized knowledge required, training is extensive and requires a strong commitment to succeed.
Supply Order Sales: Our supply order sales team provides customer service and order processing support for customers using our medical devices and insulin therapy products. Responsibilities include accurately documenting customer requests and processing orders promoting products that will benefit customers.

Diabetes Account Manager (AM)
The Diabetes Account Manager (AM) manages territory base business and growth by promoting, selling, and supporting Medtronic Diabetes products and services. The AM works closely with District and Territory Managers to promote and sell insulin pumps, glucose products and supplies to targeted physicians. AMs focus primarily on driving ancillary opportunities with new healthcare providers.
Diabetes Territory Manager (TM)
The Diabetes Territory Manager (TM) plays a critical role in educating physicians, nurses, educators, and other referral sources regarding the importance of intensive diabetes management and continuous glucose monitoring for patients with diabetes. On a day-to-day basis they make sales calls and provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at staff in-services and physician seminars.
Diabetes Clinical Manager (DCM)
The Diabetes Clinical Manager (DCM) supports the education and training of Medtronic Diabetes’ products to healthcare professionals and patients. A field-based clinical diabetes expert, DCMs educate patients, physicians, nurses, educators, and other healthcare professionals regarding the importance of intensive management of patients with diabetes using our products. DCMs consult with patients, demonstrating optimal usage of our products. DCMs also play a pivotal role with assisting healthcare providers in assessing and managing a patient’s therapy once the initiation process begins to ensure positive outcomes.
